Description
Hi! My name is Georgia and I am looking for a forever home. I originally showed up at a home in a rural area but the dogs living there didn’t like me so I ended up at the local shelter where no one came to claim me. After my hold time was up, I was in danger of being placed on something bad called "the list " but fortunately for me, BCAA heard about my plight and said they would help me and got me sprung from that place ... yeah! I am about 4 years old so past all of that puppy foolishness, and I weigh a little under 40lbs so I am on the smaller side for a lab. I appear to be a small black lab mix and my foster mom says I'm super cute with a sweet personality to match. I was pretty scared and shy when I first got here but my foster parents have been super patient and nice to me and I'm finding I really enjoy getting attention from them, especially when treats are involved. I am still learning not to jump up in my excitement on seeing people so I might not be good with really small kids. It has also helped me in my learning that everyone is not scary that I have lots of other 4-legged friends that I get to go out and play with as I have gotten along with all of them (at first, I did prefer they didn't rush our meeting but now I'm game for all the fun times!); I have ignored the cats I have encountered. I have done really well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of my bedding, but I would prefer to be out with you. I am ok on leash and do better once I have learned I can trust you. If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at http://www.bcaaofnj.org
