Description

Hi!  My name is Hazel and I am looking for a forever home.  Me and my friend Lily were picked up as strays by Animal Control and taken to a really scary place called a shelter where, after our hold time was up and no one coming for either of us, we were to be  placed on something bad called "the list".  Fortunately for both of us, BCAA heard about us and said they would help us.  We are not bonded and are each looking for our own home.  I appear to be a yellow lab mix, maybe with a touch of chocolate as I have an unusual coat, and my foster mom says I'm a really pretty girl with a sweet personality to match.  I'm about a year old and weigh just a tad over 38lbs.  While I am shy when first meeting new people and going into new situations, it doesn't take me long to learn I can trust you and then I love gett attention.  I have gotten along with the other dogs I have met but I do like to go slow so I can figure out whether they are friend or foe; I haven't bothered the cats I have encountered.  While I would prefer to be out with you, I've done well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of my bedding.  I'm still learning about walking good on leash but I want to be with you more so with practice, I should get it down pretty quickly.  If you would like to meet me,  please fill out an application which can be found at http://www.bcaaofnj.org.
