Hi!  My name is Sidnee and I am looking for a forever home.  I was picked up as stray by Animal Control and taken to a really scary place called a shelter where, after my hold time was up and no one came looking for me I was in danger of being placed on something bad called "the list".  Fortunately for me, BCAA heard about my plight and arranged for me to be pulled and into foster ... yeah!  I appear to possibly be a small shihtzu mix, but whatever I am my foster mom says I'm super cute with a personality to match.  I am about 10mos old and weigh just a tad over 10lbs.  I'm a little shy when first meeting new people but it doesn't take me long to learn I can trust and then I love getting attention and playing (foster mom says I'm a little energizer bunny).  I have gotten along with the other small dogs I have met and I haven't paid much attention at all to those things called cats, all of who are my size or bigger.  I've done ok in a crate which I have been sharing with my friend June (we eat side-by-side with no problems) but do need to be taken out on a regular schedule to avoid accidents.  I would really, really prefer to be out with you and running around, and if I see or hear you may let you know not to forget about me.  I probably have never had a leash on before so I'm not very good on one and would prefer to be picked up, so I will need a fenced yard so I can safely explore and take care of my business.  I also need to let you know I want to be near you so bad I can climb a 4' fence if left outside alone in order to find you (which might be how I ended up alone in the first place!).  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.
