Meet Poppy! Poppy is an adorable 6-month-old Shih Tzu mix weighing around 12 pounds. She may have a little terrier mixed in, giving her a slightly wiry coat that just adds to her cuteness! With her sweet face and affectionate little looks, Poppy has a way of winning you over quickly.Poppy is full of personality and is simply a fun little girl! She loves attention and affection, but she also has a playful, mischievous side that will keep you smiling. She loves playing with her siblings, enjoys toys and treats, and is always ready to join in the fun. She does great with other dogs and has also done very well with the adult resident dogs in her foster home.Poppy is a smart girl, too! She is crate trained, sleeps soundly through the night in her pen, and has had no accidents there. She will even let her foster know when she needs to go outside. She also rides well in the car.Poppy has a wonderful combination of playful puppy energy and affection. Whether she's entertaining you with her antics, playing with another dog, or soaking up some love, she's happiest being part of the action.This sweet, spunky girl is ready to find a family of her own and will make a wonderful companion for a lucky family! Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications. We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting.  Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine. The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you.The first step to adopting is to fill out an application for adoption. Once approved we will arrange a time for you to meet the animal you are interested in. If it is a match the adoption can then be completed and you can take home your new furry family member. If it is not a match we will file your approved application and you can wait till you find the perfect match.
