We're regularly stopped on walks by people who want to tell us what a gorgeous dog he is. But Patches is so much more than a pretty face—he's a loving, happy, 18-pound companion with a wonderful personality.Patches loves people, especially children of all ages, and he would make a fun addition to a family. Everyone will enjoy watching him happily play with balls and stuffed toys, but he's equally content settling in for a gentle bone-chewing session or snuggling beside you on the couch for some TV time.Patches takes his job as family protector very seriously. Amazon deliveries, passing people, and other potential "threats" must all be announced with his strong, enthusiastic bark! Because of this, he would not be a good fit for apartment living.He enjoys the company of most other dogs, although he can get very excited when he sees them on walks and tends to bark. He would benefit from some training to learn good manners when meeting new canine friends.Patches is also a very smart boy and a quick learner. He figured out the dog door almost immediately! He'll need a little more guidance and consistency to perfect his potty training, but he's eager to learn.Patches does like to chase cats and squirrels, although his motivation seems to be more curiosity than anything else.With his loving nature, playful spirit, intelligence, and irresistible good looks, Patches has so much to offer.
