MEET OPHELIA! This incredibly special little miniature poodle has been through so much, but she is showing us every day just how brave, loving, and wonderful she truly is. ❤️ Ophelia Approximately 8 years old ⚖️ 9.5 pounds Beautiful silvery-beige coat Ophelia was rescued from a hoarding situation where she had been neglected. She had to be shaved short when she came into rescue, but we cannot wait for her gorgeous poodle coat to grow back! ✂️ Ophelia has the classic slender, tall poodle build and the sweetest personality. She absolutely LOVES tummy rubs, cuddling, and napping in your lap. She is mostly calm and would be perfectly content curled up next to her person or napping nearby. ❤️ She is sweet and affectionate Likes other dogs Fully house trained Sleeps soundly at night ‍♀️ Learning to walk on leash Loves cuddles and pets Happy to nap nearby Working every day on socialization and confidence Meeting new people can still make Ophelia nervous, so her foster family is patiently helping her build confidence and learn that the world isn’t such a scary place. Ophelia also has juvenile cataracts and is going blind , but this little girl doesn’t let that slow her down one bit. ❤️ She is absolutely incredible. She navigates her foster home beautifully, goes up and down stairs, jumps on and off the sofa , and even walks on leash outside when she can stay close to her person’s right leg. She is such a brave little girl and has adapted amazingly well. Ophelia is otherwise healthy, is up to date on her vaccines, and will be spayed prior to adoption. And then there’s Twyla. Twyla and Ophelia came into rescue together, and these two little girls have developed a very sweet bond. Twyla is approximately 6 years old, also weighs 9.5 pounds, and has a beautiful café-au-lait coat. She loves chasing balls and squeaky toys and has the cutest little dancer personality. While we are absolutely open to adopting them separately if the perfect homes come along, we would LOVE to see Ophelia and Twyla adopted together. ❤️ There is something so special about seeing these two girls side by side, and we think they could be the perfect little pair for someone looking for twice the love. These girls are happy, playful, snuggly sweethearts who are learning to trust people and discovering what it feels like to finally be safe. They are still working on confidence and socialization, but they’ve already mastered being loving little cutie pies. Could you be the forever family Ophelia has been waiting for?
