Description
Cooper came to the shelter as a stray. He was friendly, neutered, sweet and well fed. We just knew someone would come for him. We were wrong. As with many hounds we get, Mr. Cooper tested positive for heartworms. But not to worry, we are treating him as we speak. Around the first of October, Cooper will receive two shots aimed at killing the adult heartworms. If he is adopted before then, we will still treat him provided you use our vet at Animal Doctor in Camden. Other than the heartworm issue, Cooper is a very healthy pup and is so well behaved at the shelter. He is good with everyone he has met and sweet to everyone. Cooper will need a quiet place to rest while he is recovering from heartworms. Even if you are not ready to adopt, he could use a foster while he recovers from heartworm treatment. He really needs us to help him throuh these challenges.
