Description
Meet Bianca, a precious Pyr girl who is ready to find her forever family! Bianca was picked up as a stray in Georgia, but you would never know it from her sweet, happy personality. She is housebroken, crate trained, leash trained, and would do wonderfully as a leash-walk-only dog. Bianca has excellent house manners, pays attention, and responds well to her humans. She has a moderate activity level and enjoys being part of whatever her people are doing. She absolutely loves outings to PetSmart and Lowe’s, where she happily meets new people. She also does wonderfully with kids, cats, and other dogs - both males and females. Bianca has even been around chickens, goats, and horses and does well with them, too! Bianca is a wonderful all-around girl who doesn’t dig and isn’t a big barker. She loves being inside with her people, although she certainly enjoys stretching out in the sunshine when the mood strikes. Her favorite things include her cozy dog bed, her stuffies, and, of course, her people. And here’s a bonus: Bianca actually loves a bath! When it’s time for a treat, she’s especially happy to enjoy some cheese, dried salmon, or a good dog bone. One of the cutest things about Bianca is how she loves to stretch out on her back on the cool tile and snooze - it’s pure Pyr relaxation! Bianca would be a wonderful match for an active family, with or without other dogs. Her ideal home would have a 4-foot fence, or she would be perfectly happy as a leash-walk-only dog. Most of all, Bianca is simply a very sweet girl who is eager to please her human. She is just precious and deserves to be somebody’s sweet fur baby. If you’re looking for a loving, well-mannered, easygoing companion with a heart of gold, Bianca may be the girl you’ve been waiting for! National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR) has been rescuing and adopting out Great Pyrenees since 2006. Our relationship doesn’t end with adoption, as we continue to support adopters throughout the lifetime of their dog. Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority. We have many Pyrs and Pyr mixes who need homes.
