Buddy is an older gentleman with a whole lot of love left to give. After losing his owner, this sweet boy found himself at the shelter—and we’d love nothing more than to help him find a cozy forever home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by love. Buddy is affectionate, friendly, and a little rambunctious at heart! He absolutely loves being with his people and would happily tag along wherever you go. He enjoys nice walks, car rides (especially from the front passenger seat) , plenty of affection, and even a good stuffie to cuddle with. Just be warned—Buddy can get a little possessive of his favorite toys. This handsome guy is house-trained once he settles into a routine and has done well being left uncrated for a few hours at a time. He knows come and no and responds to some recall. He’s also comfortable with handling and has been friendly with both men, women, and other dogs. Buddy does have a couple of things his future family should know. He may grumble if someone messes with his food, so he’ll need a home that can respect his boundaries around mealtime. Because of this, we think he’d be happiest in a home without young children. He also enjoys chasing small animals, so a home without small pets would be best. Most of all, Buddy is looking for someone who will appreciate an older dog’s special kind of love—the kind that just wants to be by your side. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate companion to share your walks, car rides, and couch time with, Buddy may just be your guy.
