Description

Butters is a male cat who is suffering from ocular disease (OD) and has a severely affected eye requiring emergency enucleation (surgical removal of the eye). Without prompt surgical intervention, he is at risk for ongoing pain, worsening inflammation, and additional complications. Enucleation is recommended to relieve his discomfort, address the affected eye, and improve his quality of life. This level of specialized surgical care and postoperative recovery support exceeds what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment.Despite his condition, Butters remains resilient and is doing his best while receiving supportive care. Butters needs a safe, compassionate placement where he can receive immediate veterinary evaluation, enucleation, and appropriate postoperative recovery care to restore his comfort.This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to the level of medical care required, which exceeds what we can provide in the shelter.
