Meet Hunky Heirloom, our handsome brown tabby sporting a white bib! Hunky came into the Shelter as a stray. A good Samaritan had seen him around for a few months. Then suddenly, the cat look injured. The good Samaritan brought Hunky to the Shelter to ensure he got the medical treatment he needed. After care and treatment from our clinic team, Hunky’s wound on his right cheek is nearly healed. Hunky would likely thrive moving forward as an indoor cat where he is safe and sound. A home with other animals may be a fit with a slow, thoughtful introduction. Hunky is available for pre-adoption. Come meet him, fall in love and take him home after his neuter surgery. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
