*Trixie - HEARTWORM POSITIVE

WE GOT TRIXIE OUT OF THE DOG POUND SO SHE COULD GET TREATED FOR HER HEARTWORM, BUT STILL LOOKING FOR A FOSTER HOME OR FOSTER TO ADOPT HOME! Hi my name is Trixie. This is a new name to me because I was found as a stray and no one came to claim me. I just don't understand why!  I was a good girl!  Now they are saying I have heartworm. Don't know what that means, but my foster mom says not to worry, the rescue will get me treated and back into good health.  I am around 6 years old and weigh in at about 40lbs, so not too big.   I do like to be with my person and follow my foster mom around the house, but once she is sitting, I am more than ready to relax.  I am good with other dogs, but we do not know about cats. No small children please. Since I am new to the rescue, my foster mom and I are just starting to get to know each other, but I am being a good girl.  She gave me a bath and trimmed my nails.  Will start heartworm treatment soon.  Will be spayed as soon as I am through the treatment. I can certainly come stay with you through my treatment if you want. I think I would like that.
