Meet Malcolm! Malcolm is a fun-loving, busy boy who loves everyone — people and dogs alike! He is always ready to play, chase, and entertain himself with his favorite toys. When he’s outside, you’ll often find him happily lounging in the grass and playing with his toys. Malcolm does have a mischievous side! He has a particular love for stealing flip-flops and shoes, and if left unattended, he will happily turn them into his next destruction project. He is a very busy boy, so if Malcolm suddenly goes MIA, you’d better investigate — chances are, he’s found something interesting to get into! Despite his busy personality, Malcolm also knows how to settle in with his favorite humans. He loves cuddling up on the couch while watching TV and is generous with his kisses, especially with his foster siblings. If you plan to crate Malcolm, he has a preference for a hard-sided crate rather than a wire crate. Malcolm has shown some resource guarding around his favorite person. His foster family has been working with him by correcting the behavior in the moment, and he is making progress. His future family should be willing to continue working patiently and consistently with him as he learns appropriate boundaries. Overall, Malcolm is a playful, affectionate, silly, and entertaining boy who has a lot of love to give. He’s looking for a family who will appreciate his busy personality, keep him appropriately entertained, and continue helping him become the very best version of himself. ❤️ Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe.
