Description

Meet Pharoah, the black male cat. Pharoah came to the Shelter as a stray so we don’t know much about his life before now. He has been calm in his kennel but vocal about his want to connect with people. He weaves through people’s legs when he is out of the kennel and prefers to not be contained. Pharoah would thrive in a home that will prioritize decompression in his adoptive home. He may enjoy a home with indoor/outdoor access or may acclimate just fine to being indoors only. A home with other animals may be a fit with a slow, thoughtful introduction. Pharoah’s adoption fee is reduced by $20 thanks to the Bogey Fund – a fund that draws adopter’s eyes towards often overlooked black cats in Shelters. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them
