Description

Meet Ivy, the brown tabby. Ivy came into the Shelter as a stray along with her sister Nova. When both girls first arrived to the Shelter, they were fearful and avoidant of people. They spent about 2 weeks in a foster home growing big and strong as well as socializing in a family environment. After 2 weeks of care, they are much more comfortable interacting with people. They can be a little skittish with loud or sudden movement but enjoy interaction with people who approach in a thoughtful way. Ivy may enjoy a home with her sister Nova but is not required to be adopted with her. If adopted with her sister, their fee is 2 for 1. Ivy may enjoy a home with a feline companion provided there is a slow, thoughtful introduction. To keep Ivy safe, an indoor only home is required moving forward.Ivy is available for pre-adoption. Come meet her, fall in love and take her home after her spay surgery. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them
