Description

Toby is a male dog with a low body condition score, severe dental disease, and a high-positive heartworm test. His poor body condition and significant dental disease require further veterinary evaluation and treatment, while his high heartworm burden requires careful management and an appropriate treatment plan. Without proper medical intervention, these conditions may continue to negatively affect his overall health, comfort, and quality of life. The level of comprehensive veterinary care and ongoing treatment he requires exceeds what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment.Despite his medical concerns, Toby remains resilient and is doing his best while receiving supportive care. Toby needs a safe, compassionate placement where he can receive prompt veterinary evaluation, treatment for his severe dental disease, nutritional support, and appropriate heartworm management. With continued individualized care, Toby may have the opportunity to improve his health, comfort, and overall quality of life.This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to the level of medical care required, which exceeds what we can provide in the shelter.
