Pepper spent his entire life with his family, but sadly found himself at the shelter when they decided to move in with a dog who wasn’t cat-friendly. Through no fault of his own, Pepper’s world was turned upside down. Pepper is a sweet, gentle guy who doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. He can be a little passive and shy when he first meets someone. Give him a little time to get comfortable, though, and you’ll discover his playful side! Pepper enjoys toys, has been known to have some early-morning zoomies, and loves following his people around to see what they’re up to. He’s curious and likes being part of the action. When it comes to affection, Pepper is a boy who likes to call the shots. He may hop into your lap when he decides it’s time, and he especially enjoys gentle pets behind his ears. He has also done well staying with other cats while being boarded and is comfortable living with feline friends. Pepper is good with adults and children age 10 and older. He has never been around a dog, so any introductions to canine companions would need to be handled carefully and slowly. After seven years with the same family, Pepper deserves a home where he can take his time settling in, feeling safe and loved, and finally knowing that he is home for good.
