Issue d’un sauvetage, elle a un tempérament indépendant et réservé et a surtout besoin de calme, de patience et de stabilité. Gertrude a été abandonnée par sa propriétaire. Nous assurons actuellement sa garde, mais notre situation ne nous permet malheureusement plus de continuer à nous en occuper dans de bonnes conditions. Gertrude n’est pas une chatte très démonstrative ni facile à manipuler. Elle préfère garder ses distances, ne se laisse pratiquement pas prendre dans les bras et accepte difficilement le brossage ou les manipulations prolongées. Lorsqu’elle se sent contrainte ou stressée, elle peut réagir par des griffures ou des morsures. Son pelage présente actuellement quelques amas de poils qui nécessiteraient une prise en charge adaptée. Gertrude pourrait réellement s’épanouir dans un environnement calme et prévisible, auprès de personnes patientes, idéalement habituées aux chats craintifs ou indépendants. Notre priorité est avant tout son bien-être. Nous souhaitons lui permettre de rejoindre un foyer ou une famille d’accueil capable de lui offrir la stabilité, la patience et les soins dont elle a besoin. Gertrude is a lovely, spayed female cat, around 6 years old, with a white and brown tabby coat. A rescue cat, she has an independent and reserved temperament; above all, she needs a calm, patient, and stable environment. Gertrude was surrendered by her owner. We are currently caring for her, but unfortunately, our situation no longer allows us to provide the proper care she requires. Gertrude is not particularly demonstrative or easy to handle. She prefers to keep her distance, rarely allows herself to be picked up, and is reluctant to accept grooming or prolonged handling. If she feels forced or stressed, she may react by scratching or biting. Her coat currently has some matted areas that require appropriate grooming attention. Gertrude could truly thrive in a quiet, predictable environment with patient people—ideally those experienced with timid or independent cats. Her well-being is our top priority. We want to find her a permanent home or a foster family capable of providing the stability, patience, and care she needs.
