If you're looking for a confident, social girl with plenty of personality and just the right sprinkle of sass, Sunny is ready to brighten your life. This beautiful tortie has lots of gorgeous orange in her coat and a wonderfully substantial little frame. She wants to know what you're doing, be involved in the action, and make sure she hasn't been forgotten. Sunny thrives on human connection. She loves being petted, picked up and carried around, and following her people from room to room. She's also quite the conversationalist, meowing when she wants pets, food, or playtime, and purring when she's happy. When she's ready to recharge, you'll usually find her napping in a sunny spot or curled up in her cat tree. Playtime is a big part of Sunny's day. She loves wand toys, catnip toys, interactive toys, and even turning Amazon boxes, packing paper, and sheets into entertainment. She's curious, smart, and playful without being overly rambunctious. She's also an enthusiastic scratcher who enjoys both tall scratching posts and flat cardboard scratchers. A giant novelty scratcher could easily become her throne. Sunny does have one very important rule: the belly is a no-pet zone. She may roll onto her back and meow at you, but don't be fooled. It's a trap! A belly rub may earn you a quick warning love chomp, followed by Sunny getting up and ending the cuddle session. Everywhere else is fair game. Sunny can coexist peacefully with other cats, but she's an independent girl who doesn't need a feline best friend. She would do best with a cat who respects her personal space rather than one looking to bond closely. She's currently living with three other female cats without fighting or aggression, although an overly friendly roommate may occasionally receive an unsolicited high-five. She's confident in new places, very outgoing, and easy to get into a carrier. Sunny has had positive experiences with adults, older children, and strangers and should do well with considerate, gentle kids. Her comfort level around toddlers is unknown. She has excellent litter box manners, permits nail trims, and is accustomed to two meals a day. She's food motivated and always happy to discuss snacks. Sunny would make a wonderful singleton and may especially love a home where someone works from home. Give her a sunny nap spot, plenty of interaction, appropriate scratching options, and a little room to be her independent self, and she'll reward you with companionship, conversation, purrs, and plenty of laughs. Sunny raised five kittens, watched every one find a family, and now it's finally her turn.
