Eartha Kitty is a special girl with a big heart. This beautiful short-haired tuxedo came through a severe eye infection as a kitten. Sadly, she lost her left eye, and her right eye has permanent scarring. She is mostly blind, but she can see some light and shadows - and she has learned that she doesn’t need perfect vision to enjoy life! Eartha Kitty may need a little extra time to settle into a new home, but once she learns her surroundings, she can navigate them surprisingly well. She’ll do best in a home where furniture and belongings stay arranged consistently, allowing her to build a mental map of her environment and feel confident moving around. And when she gets comfortable? Eartha is wonderfully affectionate. She loves being held, sitting on a lap, stretching out beside her person, and enjoying plenty of pets. She’s a social girl who wants companionship and will likely thrive with a person who is around regularly or a friendly, welcoming feline friend. Eartha also has a wonderfully wild side! She loves to scratch, so her forever home will need to provide plenty of appropriate scratching surfaces - ideally different types and textures throughout the home. She’ll need an adopter who understands that scratching is natural cat behavior and is willing to patiently and gently redirect her toward the places where she’s welcome to unleash her inner tiger.  Eartha Kitty isn’t looking for perfection. She’s looking for someone who will give her the time, consistency, patience, and love she needs to feel safe and confident. In return, she’ll give you something pretty wonderful: a deeply affectionate companion who wants nothing more than to be close to her people. She has received all age appropriate vaccinations including rabies, FVRCP, and FELV.
