"I dream of Jennie with the big brown eyes."  Jennie's foster mom, Shirley, sings this song to the female Collie with the most trusting brown eyes ever seen.  Jennie is a three year old spayed female rough Collie that was left behind when a family moved away.  In spite of the circumstances, this sweetie pie seems to be carrying no negative baggage with her.  People should be that forgiving, right? Miss Jennie is the quintessential Collie.  Intelligent, affectionate, obedient and loads of fun.  After only one week in foster care, we already know that Jennie listens well, is treat motivated and therefore easy to train and an all-round fabulous companion.  She walks well on a leash, enjoys the company of other dogs and is fascinated by kids.  For those of you who know the Lassie saga, this should sound very familiar. Jennie's vet care is all completed and she is ready to find just the right adoptive family.  The ideal situation for her would include another young Collie to play with, a couple of kids over 8-10 years old, adults with enough energy and time to make sure she has an active and fun life and folks who are willing to train with her and are open to new ideas.  And, by the way, sofas are one of her favorite paces to relax.  I hope that is okay with you.
