Description

Andre arrived at the shelter from the city pound on 8/31/2026, when he had completed his legal stray hold. He's an approximately 1 to 2 year old Boston terrier. He's very happy and affectionate. He loves people and has already been rather vocal to ask for attention. We will have him vet checked and neutered on Sept. 10th and his adoption fee is $150. Andre is looking for a home that has some experience with Bostons or similar breeds. He seems to be kind of a needy guy and would love to be someone's constant companion. We do think he'd do okay with another small dog and he should be okay with cats. Kids over 5 would be best for him. He really needs a home in which he's not left alone for long hours. He's a gentleman! NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
