She’s the girl who hears your voice from across the yard and instantly abandons whatever she’s doing - dogs, toys, adventures - to trot straight to you, flop onto her back, and grin up at you waiting for belly rubs. Marley is wonderfully social with other dogs, greeting them with a huge tail wag or a dramatic belly‑up invitation to play. She loves running and chasing in the yard, but she doesn’t need a dog at home as long as she gets regular playdates or doggie daycare visits. She accepts new people immediately and gently jumps up to say hello (and stops when corrected). Marley knows “sit,” will “down” for a treat, and walks well on a leash - unless she’s excited to get somewhere fun. Her gentle, friendly nature suggests she’d do great with kids who enjoy giving attention. Inside, Marley is a happy, comfy girl who appears housebroken and loves rolling onto her back for affection. She settles quietly in her crate and is respectful of her 5‑foot fence - though she’s clever enough to lift the gate latch with her nose, so securing it is important. She digs cozy dirt beds and only barks when other dogs start first. She was wonderfully gentle with cats and would be fine with a feline sibling. When it’s grooming time, Marley prefers to lay down like a queen while you brush her, clean her ears, or trim her nails - but she’ll stand if you insist. She climbs into the car on her own and rides calmly. Her only quirk is guarding her food from other dogs; she simply stands over her bowl while she eats. Marley is sweet, social, eager to please, and happiest right in the middle of family life - but she’s also a young Pyr who needs people willing to guide her as she continues learning good manners. This dog travels with an Interstate Health Certificate required by the USDA confirming that all the above criteria have been met. Housebroken: Yes  Can be Placed With: Dogs, Cats, Kids   Fencing: Secure VISIBLE fencing is required; invisible fencing WILL NOT contain this breed. Fees: Adoption fees are determined on a sliding scale depending on age, location and transport. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. Fees for dogs adopted locally start at $400 and can range up to $700 for puppies under six months. Puppies placed on spay/neuter contracts receive $100 back when the dog is spayed or neutered. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues.
