Description
Chief is an amazing boy that was owner surrendered to us. chief is house trained and crate trained (he sleeps through the night in crate and also is fine out of the crate if we let him sneak on a bed he stays all night). He has done well with the kiddos in his foster home but due to his size and energy will do better with older kids! He will take some time to settle into any new environment, huge changes have happened for this poor guy. Chief is a typical Dalmation-- he can seem aloof and recently has become a shadow to his foster and really wants to be with his people as much as possible. When he is able to get exercise he will nap in his cage with the door open. He pulls pretty hard on the leash at first but once he gets into the walk he is very responsive to the leash, so just needs some practice. He does have a loud bark but only barks when he wants something (to go out/wants food/at other dogs) he doesnt bark at people who come to the door that we’ve seen and has been overly friendly with every humans hes met!! We were told he was afraid of cats, but when introduced he completely ignored the cat. He has little if any experience with other dogs-- initial attempts at dog meetings haven't gone well, so we think it would be best if he is with homes without a dog.
