General info
Description
Hatch Date: 2012 Lucy is a 14-year-old female Goffin Cockatoo. She enjoys having the TV on during the day, sitting outside in her cage when the weather is nice, or looking out the windows at other birds. Lucy and her mom were best friends. Sadly, her mom passed away. They spent most of the day together. They would talk and dance. Lucy's mom saw her in a pet store and it was love at first sight for both of them. Lucy loves sunflower seeds and Mac’N’tosh apples for treats. She dances when she’s happy, and she loves listening to music and dancing along with you. Her favorite toys are wooden blocks. She says Hey Girl, Shut the Lights Off, Hi, and What You Doing? You can hear her sweet voice on the videos. Lucy is an amazing bird, and once she opens up to you, she has your heart forever. Lucy has been disease-tested for chlamydia and PBFD. Lucy is participating in our Help with Rehoming program and is still with her family in Mahwah, NJ. She will only be adopted to a forever home within driving distance. We will NOT ship our birds. Three visits are required to adopt Lucy. For the Love of Birds is a group of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA. We do not have a central location. We only allow approved applicants to make visits. If interested in adopting Lucy, you must be willing to make the required number of visits. Please visit our website ftlob.rescuegroups.org. Please read our adoption policies & procedures and complete an adoption application.
