Say hello to Bonnie from the Toy Story Litter, a beautiful 18-week-old, 20 pound Shepherd girl with a soft heart, a curious mind, and a serious love for playtime. Bonnie absolutely loves other dogs and can happily spend her day playing with her canine friends. She’s especially fond of a good game of chase and fetch and will happily run after a ball whenever you’re ready to play. When it comes to people, Bonnie is a little more reserved. She can be shy at first and isn’t a huge fan of being petted just yet. But Bonnie has her own way of showing affection: she loves to curl up beside her person with her favorite bone and simply enjoys being close. Once she trusts you, that quiet companionship is pretty special. Interestingly, Bonnie is especially comfortable with kids and has formed a wonderful bond with the foster home's 9-year-old child. She seems to find something about kids particularly reassuring, and watching her come out of her shell with them has been incredibly sweet. Bonnie is also one smart cookie. She’s a good listener, has a decent start on her recall, and has already figured out how to communicate with her people. She’s a girl who believes her humans should be kept informed! If her water bowl is empty, she’ll let you know. If she wants to go outside, she’ll let you know that too. Because of that Bonnie is nearly house-trained with only the occasional accident. Bonnie is also crate trained and is making good progress with her leash work but will need continued training with that.  She lives with cats and free-range chickens and is much more curious than prey-driven around them. She may investigate and wants to follow along, but she doesn’t have the same strong chase instinct some puppies do. As with any puppy, she’ll still need supervision and continued training around smaller animals. Bonnie will need a securely fenced yard, preferably 4 feet tall or higher, both for her safety and so she has plenty of room to run, play, chase her ball, and continue practicing her recall. Bonnie may not be the puppy who immediately jumps into every stranger’s lap — and that’s okay. She’s a girl who takes a little time to feel comfortable, and once she does, she wants to be near you, beside you, and part of your world. She’s smart. She’s playful. She’s wonderfully quirky. And she has so much love waiting for the person who is willing to earn her trust. Bonnie is ready to find her forever family. Interested in adding Bonnie to your home?
