*** Check Out My Video Album Below! *** Brody is a gentle, reflective, “thinking boy” who has blossomed from a scared stray into a dog who lights up when he sees his person. He greets you with a smile, a big tail wag, and that classic Pyr lean, nudging your hand with his nose if you pause - he loves being close and loves being loved. Once a stray who cautiously approached a restaurant for help, Brody has shown remarkable resilience. He likely never lived indoors before, but he keeps his space clean and has discovered a deep love for blankets. He’ll stretch out on one or fluff it into a pillow, and if the crate door is open, he’ll happily tuck himself right in. Bare floors still make him nervous, so he’s learning to move confidently from rug to rug. Brody is learning basic commands and has mastered walking well on a leash, and responds to gentle corrections. True to his Pyr nature, he may put on the brakes if he disagrees with your direction, but he’ll follow when you insist. His personality is gentle and laid‑back, though he’ll happily tuck his butt and playfully bump into you when he’s feeling silly. He is friendly with other dogs and greets them politely, though he prefers not to share his food, so mealtime management is important. He isn’t much of a player and instead enjoys quiet companionship with people. He has met cats and was wonderfully gentle, sniffing each one politely before moving on. Brody will need a secure 6‑foot fence, as he can easily clear a 5‑foot one. A leash‑walk‑only home could work, but having a fenced area where he can relax, explore, or dig a cozy dirt spot would be ideal. He enjoys being brushed and handled, and rides calmly in the car after climbing in slowly. Brody’s perfect home is one with Pyr experience - someone who understands his thoughtful nature, respects his pace, and appreciates the quiet devotion he offers. He would do well with a cat or another dog, but he would also thrive as an only dog where he doesn’t have to share attention. Brody has so much love to give.
