Description

To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application   HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see   HERE Age:  6 months (as of 5/11/26) Weight: 25 lbs (as of 5/11/26) Location: RI This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Meet Angel, a delightful puppy full of life and love. Angel's sweet, friendly nature makes her a joy to be around. Gentle yet playful, she adores cuddling after a long day of fun. She has playful energy and a particular fondness for squeaky toys. She loves everyone she meets, adults, kids, other dogs.  Meeting new people is a favorite pastime. She has enjoyed the company of the other dogs in the home and would do will with other dogs or as an only with regular playdates.  Angel is house trained, crate trained, and walks pretty good on the leash but could use some more practice. She has been left alone crate for up to 6 hours and has done well. Angel would make a great addition to many households. She is a total joy to be around. She is a loyal companion who will bring endless joy to your day.  Medical Note: This puppy was born to a mother dog who was positive for heartworm disease and had circulating microfilaria.  Microfilariae can be transmitted from mothers to unborn puppies through the placenta; these worms, however, will not develop in the puppy into adult heartworms because the heartworms must pass through a mosquito to fully develop.  Microfilariae may live up to two years within the host dog in whom they were born, but they should be eliminated when the puppy received its first dose of heartworm preventative.  This puppy has been given heartworm preventative regularly while in SOS care, but to ensure that any remaining microfilaria are fully eliminated and the risk to other dogs (via mosquitos) is minimized, SOS recommends that the puppy be kept on Advantage Multi or Parasedge (imidacloprid + moxidectin) for monthly heartworm preventative for at least the first three months after adoption.  This product provides protection from heartworm disease as well as fleas, but another tick preventative (oral) should be used. An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see   HERE   for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website:   Adoption Application - SOS Animal Rescue League in Rhode Island (sosarl.org)   **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
