Description
Meet Sheba! Sheba is a sweet little Beagle mix with the cutest white-and-tan spotted coat. But her story is about so much more than her adorable looks. Sheba has spent just over a full year in the shelter. When she first arrived, she was incredibly scared and completely shut down. Thankfully, the amazing volunteers never gave up on her. With their patience, kindness, and love, Sheba has blossomed into the sweet girl we see today. While she still has more confidence to build, she's doing great compared to where she started! She is now in a foster home, where she’s learning all about indoor life, working on her manners, and discovering how wonderful being a beloved family dog can be. Sheba is very shy at first, but she is warming up and realizing she’s safe. She is sweet, gentle, good on leash, and wonderful with other dogs. She’s also not an “in-your-face” kind of dog—she’s happy to take things at her own pace. She is about 2 years old now and weighs 25 pounds, but she is very skinny. Her foster is working on getting her to a heathy weight of closer to 30 pounds. After everything Sheba has been through, she deserves a family who will continue to show her that she is safe, loved, and finally home. Apply to adopt Sheba at bcaaofnj.org
