Meet Chiquito, a 1.5-year-old Cairn Terrier who weighs just 10 pounds but has somehow packed a whole lot of personality into that tiny package. This sweet little guy is happiest when he’s with his people and will happily follow you around, keep you company, and generally make sure you are never left unsupervised. He’s basically a pint-sized sidekick with a very strong commitment to being underfoot. Chiquito is friendly, outgoing, playful, and incredibly endearing. He loves going for walks, meeting new people, and being out and about. He’s also good with dogs of all sizes, cats, and kids, making him a pretty social little dude. He enjoys toys too, although his preferred method of play seems to be stealing them directly from your hands with surprising ferocity, then immediately losing interest. Terrier priorities. When it comes to bedtime, Chiquito is perfectly happy to snuggle up in bed with his people if invited. He is quite vocal when crated, though, so a home without shared walls will be needed. He is ready to find his forever person, preferably someone who appreciates having a 10-pound companion attached to them like a fuzzy little Velcro accessory. His minimum adoption fee is $400 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
