Description

Foster or Forever Home Wanted: Meet Marilynn Marilynn is a petite, athletic Lab mix with a story that could have ended very differently. She entered the shelter as a stray while very pregnant, and we were told that without rescue, her puppies would be spay-aborted. We couldn’t let that happen, so we said yes. Just 34 hours after leaving the shelter and settling into her foster home, Marilynn gave birth to ten puppies. She sadly lost one, but proved to be an incredible and devoted mother to the rest. Now that her puppies are weaned, it is finally Marilynn’s turn for her happily ever after. She would also greatly benefit from a new foster home in the meantime, as we would love to keep her out of boarding and give her the chance to decompress in a home environment. Marilynn is sweet, affectionate, and very people-oriented. She forms strong bonds with her humans and thrives on attention and praise. She takes verbal correction well, is eager to learn, and appears to be potty trained. She prefers to be close to her person and can struggle when left alone, so she will do best in a home that can provide consistency, structure, and companionship. Despite her petite size, Marilynn is athletic and can be a bit of an escape artist. She will need a secure home and yard to keep her safe. After everything she has been through, Marilynn deserves a life where she gets to be someone’s baby.  If you are ready to give Marilynn the life she deserves, please fill out an application at www.labradorsandfriends.org. Marilynn is located in Southern California.
