FOSTER NEEDED MONDAY 8/24 TEXT ASHLYN 253-217-8685 Animal Information: Rumi is a 1-year-old, 63-pound Cur/Shepherd mix with a heart of gold. After being attacked by another dog at the shelter, he spent the night with our rescue partner while he waited for vet care the next day. Even after everything he went through, Rumi remained sweet and friendly with people and tested excellently with other dogs. With his soulful eyes, soft ears, and gentle nature, Rumi seemed to breathe a sigh of relief during his sleepover. We knew we couldn’t leave him behind, so he got a one-way ticket to Seattle to start a new chapter. We can’t wait to see where his story goes from here. Foster Profile: Rumi has had a rough 1st year of his life but you would never know it form his extremely sweet and loving disposition. Rumi would make a great family dog with kids as well as will another dog in the home, but another dog is not required. He loves to play with other dogs and is coexisting really well with a 3 year old human in his foster home. He is crate trained, leash trained and rides well in the car. He does not seem to have high prey drive so he would likely do well in a home with a kitty friend, he has not been cat tested but can be upon request. He loves being near his people and is just an overall happy friendly dog. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166).
