  Oscar’s story is one of survival, resilience, and second chances. It was clear from day one Oscar had clearly lived a rough life. He had spent his days fighting to survive outside , carrying the scars of those battles, while also struggling with ongoing illness. He was sick, scared, and had a long road ahead of him. For nearly a year, Oscar has been in rescue, being treated for illness and slowly helping him learn that people could be trusted. There were plenty of difficult days but Oscar kept preserving.  And now, after everything, he is finally ready for his forever family.  Oscar is FIV positive , which does not mean he can’t have a happy, loving life. He will simply need a family who understands that he may need ongoing veterinary care and treatment for chronic upper respiratory issues and is willing to keep up with his medical needs. After spending so much of his life just trying to survive, Oscar deserves something very different now: a safe home, a soft bed, a warm lap, and someone who will never give up on him. Oscar has fought so hard for this second chance. Now he just needs someone to choose him. Oscar would be best in a single cat home.  Oscar was born around November 2019. He is currently living at a foster home in Harrisburg, PA. His adoption donation is $75 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and neuter.
