When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. That is the motto for Pippin, our 3-year-old shih tzu mix pup. Pippin comes into rescue after his family could no longer keep him but to no fault of his own. Despite his world being turned upside down, Pippin sees the glass as half full and is eager to have a new start. Pippin is a small boy of around 11 pounds and is perfect for afternoon snuggles or cozy lap sessions while watching television. He is the perfect size to take anywhere.Pippin is a friendly and happy boy. One of his favorite pastimes is playing fetch and he feels he is a professional at it. He does wonderfully with other dogs and children but has not been introduced to a cat since coming into rescue. He enjoys interacting with people and will make a great and lovable canine companion whether on the go or resting at home. Pippin is happy being part of the gang. He is currently busy learning his house, crate and leash training. He will need the assistance of his family to provide structure, patience and commitment but he knows that he can achieve his goals and make his family proud.Transitioning always takes time for a new pup to adjust to a new home life, and Pippin will require that time as well. Each day will bring a new promise of love and Pippin will be front and center.
