Meet Pickles! Pickles is a 5-year-old, 42-pound Beagle/Basset Hound mix who recently found herself at the shelter when her owners could no longer care for her. She’s now accepting applications for a new family — preferably one with a comfortable couch and very low expectations for adventure. Pickles’ hobbies include napping, snuggling, taking extremely leisurely sniff walks, and then napping to recover from the sniff walk. She’s currently about 42 pounds, though her ideal weight is closer to 35, so she’s looking for someone to help her continue her wellness journey. Pickles is house-trained, sleeps quietly in her crate at night, and does well free-roaming when left alone. She gets along well with other dogs, and her previous owners reported that she lived successfully with cats. She’s also been sweet and friendly with everyone she’s met. Overall, Pickles is a mellow, low-key little lady looking for someone who appreciates the finer things in life: snacks, sniffs, and snuggles.
