Meet Gus Gus is an under-one-year-old Collie, Shepherd & Chihuahua mix who is equal parts cuddle bug, couch potato, and adventure buddy!He can be a little shy at first, especially around big or tall people, but give him some patience, kindness, and a little cheese, and you’ll quickly see his sweet personality shine. Once he trusts you, Gus is an affectionate little “Velcro dog” who loves curling up in your lap, getting belly rubs, falling asleep in your arms, and being by your side.Gus also has an adventurous streak! He loves running, exploring, visiting the dog park, playing with other dogs, and discovering new things. He’s just as happy relaxing on the couch as he is heading out for an adventure—and he absolutely loves when you talk to him.Gus gets along well with other dogs and isn’t territorial or food-aggressive. He knows “sit” and is continuing to work on his leash and crate skills. He’s making great progress and learning that his leash and crate are safe, positive things. And if you’re wondering about his favorite snack, the answer is easy: cheese! Gus is looking for a person who wants a loyal best friend to share everyday life, adventures, and plenty of cuddles. He may be young, but he already knows that the best place to be is right by his person’s side. ❤️Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200.
