Meet Marcellus! Marcellus is named after the charming octopus in Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt, and while our Marcellus has considerably fewer tentacles, he has the same feeling of being a little more clever than he lets on. He’s a sweet, silly, curious boy with an adventurous streak and a remarkable talent for getting himself out of places he’s apparently supposed to stay.Marcellus loves to climb, wrestle with his brothers and sisters, and investigate whatever looks interesting. He’s active and playful, but he also has a very cuddly side and is happy to settle in with his people after an adventure.His most distinctive feature is a tiny white tip at the end of his otherwise black tail. In fact, that little tail tip was the only way I could tell him apart from his siblings when they were newborns. For their first couple of weeks, they were cute little blobs that mostly just lay around and ate, so I affectionately called him Gudetama.These days, Marcellus is more energetic, and more ambitious.
