Name:  Molly          Best Guess for Breed:   Cairn Terrier mix    Best Guess for Age:   6 years as of 7/13/2026          SEX:   female   Approximate Weight:  12.5 lbs   Gets Along With:  other dogs and has lived with cats.   Currently Living at:  DC area foster    Special adoption considerations:   Molly cannot go to a home with kids under age 12.   Molly is Looking For:  Molly is a 6‑year‑old Cairn Terrier who recently welcomed two beautiful puppies into the world. She’s a steady, attentive mother with that classic Cairn mix of scruffy charm and bright-eyed intelligence. Around adults, she’s affectionate, loyal, and deeply people-oriented — the kind of dog who settles at your feet and watches the room with quiet curiosity.   Molly's sensitive by nature and needs a home with either just adults or adults and dog-savvy teenagers. She becomes overwhelmed by fast movement, unpredictable noise, and the high-energy environment that kids naturally create. In a calm, quiet household, though, she thrives: relaxed, confident, and eager to bond. Molly has lived in a home with cats.   Molly enjoys gentle routines, slow walks, soft beds, and humans who understand that some dogs simply need a quieter world. She’ll reward that understanding with deep companionship, steady affection, and a sweet, grounded presence.  What My Foster Says About Me:   We will update with comments from Molly's foster.
