  DOB 4/17/26 Hey there, everyone! I’m Jefferson, a friendly, affectionate, easygoing, and fun-loving Bombay mix fella who was named, along with my blood-brother Lafayette in this year of America’s bicentennial, for the famous #Revolutionary-brothers Thomas Jefferson and the Marquis de Lafayette. We’re so much alike, both in our physical and temperamental traits, that Foster Meowmy had to give me a blue collar. Admittedly my coat is slightly darker and smoother than Lafayette’s; I jump more frequently and higher; and I’m ever-so-slightly bolder. We’re both lap cats who LOVE people and who thoroughly enjoy it when Foster Meowmy cuddles and pets us separately. Yes, we luxuriate so much in her attention that her gentle ear scratches and neck rubs cause us to crank up our purr motors to HIGH. We’re always ready for treat time when she dispenses Churus and Temptations. We’re full of frenetic kitten energy and are never still for long!! We have a blast tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling with each other. We make Foster Meowmy laugh when she watches us chase each other as well as our fluff balls, catnip mice, and spring toys. And you should see us swat at and leap for the feathered wand toy as she waves it over our heads! Yet, whether it’s playing or cuddling with Foster Meowmy, we never compete with each other. Our Foster Meowmy is the caretaker for a colony of semi-feral community cats. We will always be grateful that, after she noticed that we could eat solid food, Foster Meowmy brought us into her home at the same time that she trapped, spayed, and released our semi-feral momma. We adjusted seamlessly to indoor life with its brimming food/ water bowls and Foster Meowmy’s showering us with affection. Now I’m ready to ensconce myself in your lap for some serious cuddling, petting, head massages, and purring  in exchange for your constant entertainment – whether I’m displaying my soccer or my basketball expertise.
