NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NEW INTAKE 8/26/2026:  Dixie Ann - female - 6 months old - 28 pounds - Husky/ Pomeranian mix Reason for intake:  This sweet, gorgeous girl came to us from animal control.  She came in as a stray and no one reclaimed her.  Her picture makes her look huge but she's actually a small girl under all that fur!  The shelter thinks she is a Husky/ Pom mix so we're going with that.  She's fairly thin under all the fur but we're working on that.  She's currently at our vet for spaying and everything else she needs.  She is heartworm negative. NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS:  Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed.  Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining.   In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason.  We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption.  In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered.  Please note…  we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption.  Please wait until the dog is available for adoption.  We will post him or her on Facebook in our Adoptable Dog Album pinned to the top of our page which you can follow at this link:  https://www.facebook.com/share/1B46skRWF5/ OR you can keep checking our website at www.roadtorescuela.org.  We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
