Description
Tate proves that being a senior doesn’t mean slowing down! At 13 years old, he’s still spunky, playful, and full of personality; though he certainly appreciates a good nap and some quiet downtime, too.Tate was originally adopted through Heartland in 2014. While we don’t know the full story of what happened in the years that followed, we do know that the owner who adopted him passed away at some point. After that, Tate’s story becomes a mystery until this past July, when a St. Louis County citizen found him wandering on his own. She took him in, had him scanned for a microchip, and that scan led him right back to Heartland.Today, Tate is living his best senior life with his foster mom and three feline foster siblings. He has been fully vetted, including a senior blood panel, is current on his vaccinations, and has received a clean bill of health.Tate quickly bonds with anyone who shows him love and comfort, and he’s proven to be quite the homebody. In fact, he wasted no time making himself comfortable, so comfortable that he even tried to steal one of the cats’ beds! Now that he’s in his golden years, Tate would be happiest in a calmer home with older children or no children. What he really wants is a soft place to land, someone to love, and a family who will give him the peaceful, happy retirement he deserves. After everything he’s been through, Tate is ready for the next chapter—and we think it should be his best one yet.
