Description
Urgent Medical Capacity Case (13 Kittens) We are seeking immediate rescue or foster placement for a group of 13 kittens currently under care at the shelter. These kittens are bright, social, and eating, but they require ongoing medical treatment that exceeds the shelterâs current capacity for humane care.Medical Concerns:Conjunctivitis â all kittens are receiving treatmentRingworm (dermatophytosis) â requires prolonged, consistent therapy and isolationVariable poor body condition in some kittens, though all are currently eatingAll kittens are on treatment and actively eating, they are stable at this time, but require weeks of continued care, monitoring, and medical managementTheir conditions necessitate isolation and intensive husbandry, which is difficult to sustain in our high-intake shelter environment, especially as kitten season escalates.Due to the significant demand on shelter medical resources and staffing, we are unable to provide the extended duration of care required for this group while maintaining humane standards across the population.Outcome Deadline: 5/8/2026Without timely placement, these kittens are at risk of humane euthanasia due to limitations in capacity for care. Seeking rescue partner with capacity for ringworm management and URI treatment or experienced foster(s) willing to manage isolation, topical/oral medications, and supportive care.
