Description
Meet Sunrise: the miracle cat! Sunrise had a very hard start in life. He was found weak and unable to walk, barely 3 pounds of weight, and was diagnosed with Feline Infectious Peritonitis, also known as FIP, at only 7 months old. FIP is the feline coronavirus that is common virus, but causes bigger issues when it flares up in cats with a very stresed and low immune system, which is what happened with Sunset. FIP is very treatable with antiviral medicatio n. Sunrise went through a rigorous 12 week treatment, and GREAT NEWS ! He has been cleared by the vet and is happy and healthy! He will need ongoing monitoring and routine vet checks to make sure he stays healthy and happy. Sunrise is a wanna-be velcro cat. He is shy at first, but after he gets comfortable with you he will be all about you! Sunrise will come with his very own cushioned Christmas cat house, which he is very attached to! Sunrise starts out shy and takes some time to gain your trust and would do best in a quiet household. Sunset is also the most playful cat you will meet! He plays hard and loves to fall into your hand when you pet his head. He is around a year old now and since back to being healthy, weighs a little over 9 pounds! Sunrise LOVES other cats ( but isn't sure how he feels about dogs) ! If you’d like to meet Sunrise, please fill out a cat adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a meet with an approved adopter! You can also meet Sunrise at our weekly adoption event every Saturday 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at PetSmart Eastgate. Our cats are fully vetted and we require indoor-only homes. All other pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up-to-date on all vaccines. We will not send cats to home where they will be declawed as it is a harmful practice that can cause lifelong physical and behavioral problems. Our cats are all spayed/neutered, vaccinated, combo tested, dewormed, and microchipped.
