MEET EVEREST!Everest is a beautiful 3-year-old female Great Pyrenees weighing approximately 123 lbs. This gentle giant has been an absolute sweetheart during her time at the shelter. She is laid-back, affectionate, and enjoys spending time with people.Everest has been an easy walker and enjoys getting out to explore. She also has a playful side and will give an adorable play bow when she wants you to join in. She is reported to be housebroken and has a great way of letting her people know when she needs to go outside.Everest came to the shelter as an owner surrender after her previous family welcomed a baby. Her previous owners reported that she did not acclimate well to the changes associated with the new baby. Based on our conversations with her previous family, we feel Everest would be happiest and most successful as the only pet in the home. They also reported that she has a tendency to chase chickens, so a home without poultry or other small animals is recommended.Here at the shelter, Everest has shown us what a sweet and easygoing girl she can be. She would love a family who will appreciate her calm nature, give her time to settle in, and enjoy all the companionship this big-hearted girl has to offer.Please note: Everest will need to be spayed at the shelter before going home and therefore cannot leave the same day as adoption.If Everest sounds like the gentle giant you've been looking for, please stop by during our open adoption hours to meet her!
