Meet Lucas — Your Built-In Bestie! Lucas is a 4½-year-old, 7-pound long-haired Chihuahua/Papillon mix who was surrendered to a shelter in West Virginia when his family could no longer care for him. Now he’s ready to find the person he can call his own forever. And when we say his person, we mean it — because there is absolutely nowhere Lucas would rather be than right beside you.Want a built-in bestie who wants to go everywhere with you and be the most perfectly behaved little gentleman while doing it? Lucas is your guy! At just 7 pounds, he is the perfect purse pup and would happily accompany you on all of life’s adventures. Running errands? He’s in. Visiting friends? Absolutely. Road trip? Just tell him which bag to pack. Lucas is an absolute sweetheart who loves everyone he meets — kids, adults, seniors, dogs and cats! He does wonderfully in a pack environment and loves being around his foster fursiblings (cats and dogs). And when the day is over, his favorite place to sleep is snuggled up in his foster’s bed. His potty training is still a work in progress, but belly bands make it very easy to manage.  He is making great progress each day, but this is something that his new owner will need to continue to work on!The biggest thing to know about Lucas is that he truly wants to be with his person. He isn’t a pup who enjoys spending long stretches of time alone, so his dream home would be with someone who is around more often than not — or, even better, someone who wants a tiny sidekick they can take along with them!If you’ve ever wished you could have a little best friend who thinks every day is better simply because he’s spending it with you, Lucas may just be your perfect match.  Lucas will be available for adoption on or after 8/30 through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA 15144, KL #16182.
