Description
DOB: 3/7/2026 Current Weight(as of 8/12/26): 27 Lbs Adoption Fee: $275 includes 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness. Meet Libby! Libby is an almost 6-month-old Husky/Shepherd mix who was right around 27 pounds at her spay surgery on August 12. We can't say exactly how big she will be as an adult, but we're expecting Libby to grow into a large dog. Libby and her siblings came to Furry Kids when their owner was no longer able to care for them. We were also able to spay their momma, so there won't be any more accidental puppies! Libby has really come out of her shell around people, and it has been wonderful watching her confidence grow. Like all of her siblings, she craves human interaction and touch. The more positive attention she receives, the more we see that sweet personality come shining through. Libby LOVES toys, enjoys playing with the other dogs in her foster home, and is a huge fan of the kiddie pool! In fact, all four puppies love the water so much that their foster family has to limit pool time or they'd spend their entire day soaking wet. Libby is doing great with the other Furry Kids in her foster home. There has been no aggression or dominant behavior from these puppies. They can even eat just a couple of feet apart without fighting or becoming possessive over their food. Another confident dog in the home could be a great companion for Libby and help her continue building confidence. She could also do very well with an active, interactive family that has plenty of time to spend playing with her, including her in family life and continuing her socialization. Libby is still a puppy, so she'll need continued training and guidance as she grows. A securely fenced yard would be best for her, and please no apartments. Libby has already made so much progress. Now she just needs a family of her own to help her continue blossoming into the happy, confident girl we know she can be! Puppies are NOT housebroken and should not be expected to wait more than 1 hour for each month of age to go out to potty. Please make sure that you have a “potty plan” in place if considering adoption. All of our puppies have been spay/neuter, wormed, microchipped, and given age appropriate vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting/adopting one of them just fill out a application at www.furrykidsrefuge.org, click on the 'Adopt A Dog' icon and a dedicated volunteer will be in touch.
