Description

Hi! I'm Backpack, a male Australian Shepherd/Poodle mix. I'm 4 years old, which means I'm well past the destructive/small bladdered puppy phase, but I'm often mistaken for a much younger dog because I'm so happy and playful. I weigh 29 pounds, which people keep telling me is a great size.  Once in a while I can get a little bit nervous or startled, but overall I'm an outgoing, confident, super sweet boy! I've been great with all the dogs and cats I've met (and even a rooster!) and I'm a fan of kids. I love getting snuggles, going on walks and bike rides, and running around with my human and dog friends!  Some things you should know before deciding add me to the family: - I have a good amount of energy so I'm needing my future human(s) to be prepared to give me plenty of exercise.  -I will require regular grooming to keep me looking and feeling my best -I spent most of my life living outdoors and hadn't been trained at all. I've been learning very fast in my foster home - I've got house training down and have started learning some basic commands, but a smarty pants like me has lots of potential and I need someone committed to unlocking that potential with dedicated training. I'm very excited to find a home where I'm treated like part of the family! If you think I might belong with you, apply to meet me at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication
