Description
Up in the sky! Look! It's a Pomeranian! It's a Chihuahua! It's Joey! Joey is a year old, eight pound, long-haired Chi-pom mix, and his energetic personality matches this medley of furballs. Joey was found as a stray in a cage with 6 or 7 other similar-looking dogs. He is not used to living indoors with humans, but he is slowly becoming confident. He has learned a lot in the meantime: to settle in his crate, to take walks on a leash, and to play with his toys independently. Joey loves chasing dragonflies and army-crawling in tall grass. He loves sprinting in the yard and chewing on collagen sticks and yak cheese. He especially loves his snuffle mat! There are a few quirks about Joey that will take patience from his future humans. Although he has learned to toilet outdoors, he hasn’t quite gotten over some handling issues. Fear and excitement cause him to have little accidents. Thankfully, he is very small and has gotten used to wearing a belly band. Joey also needs to be closely watched as he enjoys jumping from high places and will need to be discouraged from parkouring. But hey, that means he might be great for an agility course! Joey is young and acts like a puppy, so obedience training is a must. He should not be in a home with children younger than 10. He enjoys sprinting outside and would be best in a home with a big, physically-fenced yard.
