Birthdate:  8/12/25Breed: One of a kindIt's said that the name YELENA means "torch" or "shining light" and that would suit our newest little beauty just fine.  But something about her brilliance makes us think she might really be a comet or perhaps a shooting star!  Blue and white with intense golden eyes that dare you not to love her, she's a wonderfully big personality in a perfect little body.  If she looks wise and a little street smart, she had to temporarily fend for herself before rescue with friends in the Bronx.  This may have made her cautious about who to trust in the cat world, but she's 100% certain that she loves people without reservation. Following her foster around like a dog, and insisting on any available lap or loving attention offered, it's clear that she craves connection.  Our first "hello" was more like "hello, new friend" and snuggling quickly ensued.  If you've never met a cat whose meow quacks a bit like a duck, our sweetly chatty, gorgeous ball of fun will take that off your bucket list!      The Rescue is open 7 days a week for you to come and meet our pets! Walk-ins are welcome! In order to interact with them, you’ll need a simple questionnaire filled out.
