At just 5 pounds, this 14-year-old sweetheart has super-long legs and looks every bit like her namesake.  Bambi came to Tysons Place after her beloved owner was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and could no longer care for her. It's clear that Bambi was deeply loved throughout her life, and now she's looking for someone who will cherish her just as much in her golden years. This little girl loves being close to her person. She is accustomed to sleeping in bed and being tucked in right beside her owner, and she absolutely loves the comfort and security of being near someone she trusts. She is housebroken, walks nicely on a leash, and has lived peacefully with cats. When Bambi meets other dogs, she can get very excited and bark. We suspect her enthusiasm may simply be her way of saying, Hi! I want to be your friend!  Bambi does have severe dental disease, and unfortunately, she has only a few teeth remaining. She is scheduled to see a dental specialist on September 9, and we expect that she may lose the rest of her remaining teeth. We are committed to getting her the care she needs so she can be comfortable and enjoy whatever time she has ahead. Bambi may be 14, but she still has so much love to give.
